Billa Joints is a Grammy-nominated producer, guitarist, and musical director based in Toronto, Canada. Known for his genre-blending sound and elite musicianship, Billa brings a unique musicality to modern production that resonates across both mainstream and underground scenes.
A graduate of McGill University and the New England Conservatory of Music, Billa’s roots lie in jazz performance — a foundation that fuels his dynamic range as a producer. Since branching into production in 2011, he’s crafted records across hip-hop, pop, R&B, jazz, indie rock, and Latin genres. His credits include collaborations with J. Cole, Lil Nas X, Nelly Furtado, Billy Ray Cyrus, Bas, Hollywood Anderson, Kyle Bent, Gaël, Topaz Jones, and J. Hoard.
From 2018–2020, Billa was deeply active in NYC’s music scene, performing live at venues like Nublu, Arlene’s Grocery, and Rockwood Music Hall. He also founded THE WORD, a bi-weekly jam session in Brooklyn that brought together some of the city’s most exciting talent for nights of improvisation and collaboration.
In 2020, Billa signed a publishing deal with iconic producer T-Minus and relocated back to Toronto, where he’s continued his trajectory working with top-tier artists and building a reputation as a go-to guitar melody architect and loop creator for any genre.
Whether behind the boards or leading a live session, Billa Joints delivers soul, skill, and sonic elevation at every level.
